Basic research methods
Developed

Unit overview: This unit covers basic research methods in
an easily accessible way, and includes research tips and pros
and cons for each method. It also takes participants through a
step-by-step approach to planning research.
Duration: Short version – 60-120 minutes (presentation and
short group discussion); Long version – 3 hours or more
(presentation and all exercises in break-away groups).
Target audience: Anyone in community organizations and
not-for-profits responsible for research.
